MEET THE ARTIST
Hi, I’m Katie — the artist behind Kosmetics by Katie, a luxury bridal and special event makeup artist based in West Michigan.
For me, makeup has always been about enhancing what’s already there. I specialize in soft, elevated glam that photographs beautifully, lasts through every happy tear, and most importantly, still feels like you. Whether your dream look is effortless, barely-there makeup or a full glam moment, my goal is for you to look in the mirror and feel like the very best version of yourself.
I’ve been in the beauty and bridal industry for over 11 years, and I still genuinely love what I do. I graduated from Douglas J Aveda Institute with my Cosmetology License, became Makeup Artist Certified through Sephora, and have continued my education through countless trainings and masterclasses, including training and certification with celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic of Makeup by Mario. I’ve also had the opportunity to work the girls of WWE, celebrities, along with hundreds of brides and clients throughout my career.

When I’m not holding a makeup brush, you can usually find me with a matcha latte in hand, snuggled with my adorable kitties, golfing, watching the Lions on Sunday, spending time with my family, or wandering the home décor aisles of Target for absolutely no reason. I’m also a 2027 bride myself, so I officially understand the excitement, decisions, and very specific vision that come with planning a wedding.
One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to be a small part of such meaningful days. I want the time you spend in my chair to feel relaxed, fun, and completely taken care of, like you have your own personal hype girl who also happens to know exactly how to perfect your complexion and make your makeup last all night.
I’m based in West Michigan and available for travel wherever your celebration takes you. I can’t wait to meet you, hear all about your vision, and create a look that makes you feel absolutely incredible!
